Southern Performance was formed when GM expert Chris Furchert and Ford fanatic Justin Jordan teamed up to merge their two separate performance shops, Furcheto Performance and Jordan Performance & Racing, into one entity.
Both successful business owners with well-respected operations, the partnership allowed the men to combine their skillsets into one powerhouse domestic performance shop centrally located in Orlando, Florida, so customers can receive an even greater level of service, support, and skill than ever before.
We are hot rodders who love anything and everything in the realm of performance. Whether it’s basic bolt-ons, a nitrous kit, supercharger install, turbo upgrade, or anything else, we just want to improve on the existing power output and characteristics of your ride! About Chris Furchert
Chris’s passion for cars and speed started when his mother’s friend, Tom, took him for a ride in his 1930s Chevrolet T bucket. The car had a 383 stroker motor running on race gas and the smell, the noise, and the acceleration had Chris hooked immediately.
Not long after and while he was in high school, the first Fast and the Furious movie came out and Chris knew he had found his purpose in life. The passion he found for performance, mixed with a God-given talent to be able to work on cars so easily, kept him off the troubled road he was heading down.
Chris, who grew up in New York, was blessed to meet an amazing automotive teacher, John Santoli, at Long Island’s BOCES educational program. John showed Chris a tremendous amount of respect and took the enthusiastic young man under his wing. Chris went on to win two competitions in the Northeast region of the United States and became the best technician in the high school program; the win also blessed Chris with full scholarships to schools across the United States and gifted him with his first starter set of Snap-On tools.
In July of 2014, Chris took a huge step and opened his shop, Furcheto Performance, in Orlando, Florida, where he specialized in GM performance work.
After ten years, he took a leap of faith and joined up with his longtime friend and fellow shop owner, Justin Jordan, to create a one-stop domestic performance shop that combines two of the best technicians in the South!
About Justin Jordan
Back in the 1990s, Justin’s youth pastor gave him a ride in his C4 Corvette and instantly inspired the boy’s love and passion for automobiles. The rumble, handling, stance, and overall rush of acceleration set the stage for what would become a life-long love and obsession with automotive performance.
Justin has drag raced competitively – and quite successfully – in many heads-up categories and with various series, including the National Mustang Racers Association (NMRA). Over the years, he has racked up an impressive list of accomplishments including many world record-setting runs and multiple event wins on the nations highest stage. Justin has established himself as an expert in Ford performance, and he proudly shares his secrets for success with his customers.
After nearly a decade, Justin jumped at an opportunity to partner with his longtime friend and fellow shop owner, Chris Furchert, to create a one-stop domestic performance shop that combines two of the best technicians in the South!
